Description: Printmaking is the ancient art of making impressions on surfaces of all sorts - from cave walls to ceramics to paper. Many printmaking processes allow the printmaker to replicate an impression. That ability has given printmaking a social significance as an art form whose work is made widely available. Participants in this introductory workshop will learn the basis of printmaking, carving a linoleum block and producing multiple copies of a print. Some drawing skills are helpful but not necessary.
