Curtain Up! Act II
The Delaware Choral Society returns to the Schwartz Center for the Arts with “Curtain Up! Act II”. The concert will be held Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 4:00pm under the direction of Rocky F. Tejada and will feature music from the Broadway stage. Selections will include tunes from the long history of Broadway, from the early twentieth century through more recent favorites such as Aladdin and Wicked. Also included in the program will be show tunes with a holiday theme.
The Delaware Choral Society is a non-auditioned community choir with between 65 and 90 singers from central Delaware and surrounding areas. It was founded in 1957 by several area church choirs for the purpose of performing "Messiah". Since its inception the choir has performed a variety of works, from classical to folk to Broadway.
