INTERMEDIATE WATERCOLOR

This class is for students who have experience in watercolor or have taken our Beginner and Beyond Beginner classes. We will take the study of value in composition further, learn basic drawing methods, and focus on painting simple still lifes from life. Participants will provide their own supplies. Ages 16+

List of supplies (If you need to purchase materials, Jerry’s Artarama in Newark has the supply list for Karen’s class and has generously offered a discount to her students):

Favorite Watercolor brushes, palette, and water jar

Watercolors – at least six basic colors (the three primaries and three secondaries)

9x12 Watercolor block, 100% cotton paper (any brand)

Graphite paper

Pencil, kneaded eraser, white mars plastic eraser

9x12 sketch/drawing pad
