Rehoboth Beach Jewish Film Festival
10TH ANNUAL REHOBOTH BEACH JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL
APRIL 23 – 27 at the Cinema Art Theater
The Rehoboth Beach Film Society (RBFS) in partnership with Seaside Jewish Community presents the 10th annual Rehoboth Beach Jewish Film Festival from Wednesday, April 23 to Sunday, April 27 to be held at the Society’s Cinema Art Theater, 17701 Dartmouth Drive, Lewes.
The five-day festival promises a film for every viewer interested in Jewish culture, history and even politics, whether they are looking for a serious story or a delightful comedy. There is a balance of 18 compelling documentaries, full-length features and shorts. Overall, the film festival focuses on deepening awareness of Jewish culture and experience while exploring community differences and commonalities. Two receptions will be held and ticket holders are invited to attend.
Besides American films, several foreign viewpoints are represented with cinema art works from countries including Israel, Germany, France and Finland. Guest speakers and discussions are included after some of the films.
This year, the festival is sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Delaware, Seaside Jewish Community of Rehoboth Beach, and for the first time, Temple Bat Yam in Berlin, Maryland. It is open to the public and society members.
