Rehoboth Beach, DE
The Rehoboth Beach Film Society (incorporated 1998) is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is promoting the cinematic arts and providing education and cultural enrichment for our community. The Film Society operates the Cinema Art Theater which offers first-run, independent films year-round, several mini-film festivals, theme-oriented film series, special screenings, simulcast Metropolitan opera performances, filmed National Theatre Live plays, and much more. Several programs are coordinated in collaboration with other community-based organizations. The Film Society’s signature event is the award-winning, multi-day Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival which takes place every November. This 11-day event presents the best American and international features, documentaries, and shorts.
The RBFS website offers a comprehensive calendar of all films with descriptions, a trailer, and schedule of screening times.
If you want to see thought-provoking, informative, inspiring, and entertaining films, meet other film enthusiasts, talk about the film you just saw, the Film Society’s Cinema Art Theater is the place to go. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities available as well.
