Drawing What You See
- Ages: 16+

- Time: Wednesdays 6-8pm
- Date: April 30th - May 21st
- 4 week course
- Instructor: Helen Hogan
- Location: The Dover Art League
Description: Are you frustrated with drawing because it never seems to look like what you see in front of you? Learning to observe before you draw is the key! This class will train your eyes to see objects the way an artist needs to see them. We will progress through a series of exercises using grids, viewfinders, and pencil measuring to practice rendering objects accurately. These objects will include a profile, an eye, a still life, a hand, and a chair, which we will draw in pencil. In addition, we will learn about and practice light and shadow using still-life objects. By the end of class, you should have the tools you need to practice drawing what you see accurately.
*All materials included.
