Fort Folk Fest
On Friday, June 20, the Friends of Fort DuPont and Delaware Friends of Folk will present the first event in the Fort Folk Fest, a new series of summer concerts at the Fort DuPont Pavilion, 2546 Colter Rd. in Delaware City. The ninety-minute performance will begin at 7:00 pm. The concert is free and open to the public. Bring a blanket or chairs. Food trucks will be available.
The featured act this month is New Castle County musician Bruce Anthony. Bruce is a jazz guitarist who grew up and learned to play guitar in Chester, PA. His signature guitar stylings and smooth baritone voice have been entertaining Delaware audiences for over 30 years. Now living in Bellefonte, Bruce continues to sharpen his skills with regular gigs, presenting his “stealth jazz and blues” to an always-appreciative audience.
The Fort Folk Fest concert series is presented by Delaware Friends of Folk. These events are supported by The Friends of Fort DuPont, an organization dedicated to preserving history and enriching community. Delaware Friends of Folk are partially supported by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on www.DelawareScene.com.
