The 4th Annual Dirty Popcorn Black Film Festival is presented by Jet Phynx and hosted and sponsored by the Delaware Art Museum. We’re excited to announce that this year’s festival will be a full two-day experience (August 9 & 10), each day offering something unique for filmmakers and film lovers alike. The festival honors filmmakers of color from Delaware and beyond, with a mission to preserve and uplift local Black cinema. This year's immersive experience celebrates “The Camera”, a tribute to how film and photography have transformed the way we see and share stories. So grab your popcorn and join us for two days of history, creativity, and celebration!



Day 1 - Day one celebrates the winners with a red carpet experience. Enjoy a showcase of the captivating award winning short films, live DJ, grand opening on "The Evolution of the Camera" exhibit, a panel discussion, a cash bar featuring mimosas, and delicious food to feed the soul. And the highlight of the day will be the Award Ceremony, where we’ll present trophies to this year’s standout filmmakers and content creators—honoring innovation, creativity, and excellence in storytelling. Come ready to walk the red carpet and share the space with some of the most talented creators in the region.



Day 2 - Day two is all about the films. This will be a dedicated open film run in the Museum's Auditorium, providing a relaxed, theater-style experience where attendees
