Pollinators in Action: A Walk through UD Botanic Gardens
Experience the beauty of nature on a pollinator walk at the University of Delaware Botanic Gardens with Dr. Deborah Delaney. This guided tour will take you through the gardens and Apiary, highlighting the fascinating interactions between plants and their pollinators. Dr. Delaney will explain the importance of pollinators in sustaining biodiversity and the steps we can take to protect them.

Dr. Deborah Delaney is a professor in the Department of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Delaware where she mentors graduate and undergraduate students working on various aspects of pollinator health and productivity. When she is not playing with bees and other insects, she is teaching various courses on insects such as: Insects and Society, Apiculture, Pollination Ecology, Aquatic Entomology and Bridging Art and Science: Environmental Communication. She has over 30 years of experience working with pollinators, specifically honey bees and maintains between 50- 100 colonies throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.

Cancellation Policy: UDBG reserves the right to cancel any program if necessary. Refunds take approximately three to four weeks to process. There will be no refunds after a class or series begins. Payment will be refunded if cancellation is made by registrant 10 business days prior to class.
