The New Ark Chorale

The New Ark Chorale was founded in the summer of 1977 by Dr. Michael Larkin. From the beginning, the Chorale has been dedicated to presenting creative, innovative programming that includes a variety of musical literature and styles. Performances include works from Bach to Brahms to Britten, from the Beach Boys to Bernstein and Rodgers & Hammerstein. The New Ark Chorale includes 32 talented singers; several charter members from its 1977 roster still sing with the group. The New Ark Chorale has sung in five states and presents 4-5 concerts each concert season. The ensemble collaborates throughout its season with noted regional musicians and fellow choral ensembles, including the Delaware Women's Chorus of The Music School of Delaware. Most performances are held at St Paul's Lutheran Church, 701 S. College Ave., in Newark, Delaware.
