Established in 1983, Literacy Delaware is the only statewide nonprofit that provides 1:1 tutoring and small class instruction, at no cost, to adults with low literacy skills and English language learners.

Last year, 200 adult learners were served by our program. Funds raised at this event will help train new volunteer tutors and offset curriculum expenses, giving us the ability to serve more adult learners in Delaware. Adults with increased literacy skills are more likely to find and maintain meaningful employment, can better support their children’s education, and become more engaged in the community.
