Milford Community Bands
The Milford Community Band was formed in 1990. Our membership has hovered between 55 and 65 active participants over the last 10 years. Membership includes families, married couples, mother and children, grandmother and grandson, several Middle and High School youth, and senior citizens. They are from all over Kent and Sussex Counties. Many of our members played in high school and/or college and then put their horn(s) away. As they matured and/or retired, they felt the need to connect with other musicians and have joined the bands. The Milford Community Bands includes 7 different ensembles: the German Band, Concert Band, Smooth Sound Dance Band, Christmas Band, Downtown Dixieland Band, Party Band and Happy Wanders. All together these musical groups provide 55 to 65 performances a year.
