The Milton Arts Guild is a member based, community service organization whose goals and objectives are:
-To attract, encourage, promote, and support fine art, and the artists who create it in the greater Milton area.
-To provide a forum to enhance the networking and collaboration of artists.
-To encourage art education and appreciation in all age groups.
Milton Arts Guild began in 2005 with a group of about 10 artists from the Milton, Delaware are. Seeing a new opportunity to promote arts in the community, they held their first outdoor art show in the summer of 2005. As the membership grew, so did the outdoor venue. Each year artists could be found displaying and painting twice a year thought-out the streets of Milton.
MAG's dedication to bringing arts into the community has grown to an 80+ membership, monthly classes, workshops with nationally and regionally recognized artists, and up to ten (10) exhibitions yearly. These include 2 judged exhibitions with cash awards, one student exhibition highlighting Cape Henlopen high school artists also with cash awards, a fundraising silent auction exhibition, and at the holiday season participation in the Holly Days Festival presented by the Milton Women's Club. We are proud to sponsor an art scholarship program for the Cape Henlopen High School. We awarded our first scholarship to deserving seniors in 2015.
