East of Milford, located at the Mispillion Harbor on a 1.7-acre property at the mouth of the Mispillion River on the Delaware Bay, the DuPont Nature Center serves as a science-based education and interpretive facility. It is designed to connect people with nature. The Center includes an observation deck with viewing scopes. Inside, visitors can view wildlife along the shoreline more than 100 yards away courtesy of a remote camera. Some of the many exhibits include, bird identification panels, computerized touch-screens, wall murals illustrating the anatomy of the horseshoe crab and the red knot migration, and aquariums filled with live animals.
