Join us as we celebrate our organization's horticultural heritage and learn more about the benefits of planting native species. 

The Rehoboth Art League's Native Plant Sale will offer opportunities to purchase native plants grown by our local nursery partners: Bella Terra and the Inland Bays Garden Center.

Information tables will be staffed by experts from Delaware’s Master Gardener, Sussex Gardeners, and Master Naturalist Programs. Learn about the benefits of native plants, identifying invasive species, how to test your soil or identify a tree, the benefits of using integrated pest management/IPM practices, lawn replacement ideas, how to create a rain garden, and more. Bring your landscape questions and ask the experts!  

Schedule:

• 10am – 2pm: Native plants available for sale (while quantities last)


• 11am & 1pm: Guided tour of the Homestead Garden, designed by Art League founder Louise Corkran in 1931 and still true to its original colonial revival design. A brief visit to the Art League’s new native plant demonstration garden will follow. (Limit: 20 people/tour)


• 12:00pm & 2pm: Master Naturalist Keystone Tree Walk: Trees clean the air we breathe and filter the water we drink. Learn about the many benefits of trees and take a closer look at native Keystone Trees found across the Art League’s 3.5 acre campus. We will see some of the invasive plants & trees found here and the challenges they present to our native species. (Limit: 20 people/tour)
