Drawing for Adults
The emphasis of this 4-week drawing course is making marks that will lead to well-developed compositions. Working with a specific set of drawing tools will allow you to explore your innermost passions and the outer limits of your imagination, along with guided exercises, still life, and image reference, all of which will help you launch your imaginations and discover your creativity. Age 16+. Younger kids welcome with parent. Parent is free unless they are also participating.
Participants are encouraged to bring their ideas, questions, obstacles, and energy to the course. This class is for beginner and intermediate levels.
Included in the course:
-Review of drawing materials
-Elements and principles of design
-2-point perspective
-Still-life composition
-Contour drawing
-Fantasy and abstract landscapes
Suggested list of materials for students to bring:
-Strathmore Vellum Bristol Series 300 14x17
-Staedler Mars Lumograph 2H, F, HB, 2B, 4B graphite pencils
-Vinyl and kneaded erasers
-Blending stumps, and tortillon blenders
