Music & Poetry
Poetry and music have gone together ever since someone discovered you could produce pleasant tones by blowing air through a reed or plucking tightly drawn strings. Rockwood's Poet in Residence, David P. Kozinski, will read poems about music, poems written for music, and discuss the music found in words themselves.
Special guest poet, Scholastic Writing Awards multi-winner Rebecca Wang will read from her work.
Pre-registration is recommended, but there’s usually room for walk-ins.
Phone (302) 761-4340
or e-mail Carole McKinney at carole.mckinney@newcastlede.gov
Tickets: $8 for New Castle County residents, $10 for non-residents
There’ll be an ‘open mic’ so bring a favorite poem or two short ones to share. (A five-minute time limit will be observed.)
