Sketch the Seasons

Join us for Sketch the Seasons, a creative afternoon of outdoor observation and artistic expression at Fort DuPont. This unique program invites artists of all levels to capture the changing beauty of the season through sketching, whether it’s vibrant late-summer blooms, fluttering wildlife, or the historic architecture nestled in the landscape.

In partnership with Urban Sketchers Delaware, this is the group’s second visit to the Fort DuPont campus following a successful first outing earlier this summer. Their mission is to “show the world, one drawing at a time,” and you’re invited to do just that—no matter your skill level.

Participants will meet at the park pavilion at 12:00 PM before setting off to explore and draw throughout the park grounds. Bring your favorite sketching tools, water, and comfortable walking shoes. Whether you’re inspired by flora, fauna, or Fort DuPont’s historic charm, this is a perfect opportunity to connect with fellow creatives and experience the park from a new perspective.

This event is free with paid park entrance. No registration required.
