Hex Sign Workshop

The Arts & Crafts Gild of the Arden Club is offering a two-day Hex Sign Workshop on Monday and Tuesday, October 27–28, from 6–9 PM in the Brattan Room of the Lower Gild Hall.

Casey Orr will once again be leading the workshop, guiding participants through both the history and hands-on practice of this Pennsylvania Dutch folk art. On the first evening, you’ll learn about the tradition of Hex Signs, explore design principles, and sketch your own layout. On the second evening, you’ll bring your design to life by painting your own hex sign to take home.

• Cost: $55 for Arden Club members / $60 for non-members

• Supplies: All materials are included. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring a lazy Susan (the kind used for condiments or cabinet organization) for easier painting, along with a large compass, protractor, and ruler. A limited number will be available to share.
