Description: Oil painting is a rich and rewarding medium, and this class is designed to make it approachable for beginners while still valuable for those with some experience. Students will learn a modern approach to oil painting, covering essential topics like brush selection, blending techniques, surface preparation, and how to paint Alla Prima (wet-on-wet). The class will also explore different oil paints, mediums, solvents, finishes, and why/how to use them. We will also address safety practices, material cleanup, and long-term maintenance. By the end, students will have a strong foundation and the confidence to continue painting independently.
