Description: In this hands-on ceramics class, students will explore the art of handbuilding functional kitchenware using clay. Focusing on everyday items, students will learn essential techniques such as slab construction, coiling, and pinch forming, along with surface decoration methods like stamping, carving, and glazing. Projects may include spoon rests, fruit baskets, colanders, mugs, and serving dishes—designed to be both useful and beautiful. Perfect for beginners or those looking to expand their skills, this class encourages creativity while teaching the fundamentals of working with clay from start to finish.
