America's Tapestry: Defending the Delaware Bay Stitching Event
This fall, there’s sew much fun to be had at the Delaware Historical Society as stitchers from the Delaware chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America take over our spaces to produce a Delaware-themed panel for Stefan Romero’s embroidery project “America’s Tapestry.” Each panel of this tapestry, representing one of the 13 founding colonies, presents a visual exploration of stories from our nation’s journey toward Independence.
Visitors to the Delaware Historical Society’s Delaware History Museum and George Read II House & Gardens are welcome to join in on the fun with the stitchers and try their hand at stitching part of “Defending the Delaware Bay,” illustrated by artist Ava Buccino.
