From Candlelight to Electrical Current: A Century of Lighting at Rockwood
From the dim flicker of candlelight to the brilliance of electric bulbs, new lighting technologies developed between the mid-nineteenth and early twentieth centuries transformed how Rockwood’s residents illuminated their home. From Candlelight to Electrical Current: A Century of Lighting at Rockwood showcases this remarkable transformation through a selection of candelabras, lamps, and other lighting fixtures and accessories from our permanent collection (all ages).
