Delaware Authors Forum Presents: The Art of Revision: From First Draft to Polished Gem
Editors scrutinize freelance submissions to their publications—they want only the best. They are quick to reject submissions littered with grammatical errors, misspellings, and other inaccuracies. Writers must submit only their finest work to stand out from the competition, but how do you ensure your submissions pass muster?
Join author/editor/publisher Weldon Burge as he discusses the essentials for revising your writing—whether fiction or nonfiction, whether articles, short stories, or books. Before submitting your work for publication, make sure it "shines" and will appeal to editors and readers. Better writing comes from cutting redundancies, fixing errors, and developing characters, dialogue, and viewpoints. Questions and comments are welcome throughout the session.
