The Art of the Photograph — December Exhibition at Lewes Library

Eleven members of the Photography as Fine Art group will present The Art of the Photograph, an exhibition on view throughout December in the Lewes Public Library’s lobby gallery, located at 111 Adams Avenue, Lewes, DE.

An opening reception—with light refreshments and the opportunity to meet the photographers—will be held at the library on Saturday, December 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. The exhibition will be available for viewing during regular library hours throughout the month of December.

This exhibition showcases the diverse visions and creative approaches of photographers who have been exploring fine art photography as a form of personal artistic expression. Over the past several years, the group has focused on deepening their understanding of what defines photography as art and experimenting with all aspects of photography - composition, light, emotion, and storytelling, to advance their work.

The exhibiting photographers are George Abbott, Carol Bell, Salvatore Damante, Don James, Susan Jordan, Suzanne Kricker, Samuel Lane, Bobbie Ranney, Bonnie Roll, Leslie Sinclair, and Peter Treiber. Visitors can expect a rich variety of work that reflects the individual styles and artistic journeys of these photographers, offering a compelling look at the many ways photography can convey meaning.

The Photography as Fine Art group is part of the Coastal Camera Club, which serves more than 280 members across the Delmarva Peninsula, the Mid-Atlantic region, and beyond. For more information about the club, visit www.coastalcameraclub.com.
