Lewes Public Library
The Lewes Public Library is an independent public library member of the Delaware Library Catalog. The Catalog consists of all the public libraries in New Castle, Kent and Sussex Counties, Delaware and other academic and institutional libraries.
We receive partial funding from Sussex County, Department of Libraries and the State of Delaware, Division of Libraries. Complete funding is received by the Friends of the Lewes Public Library, our Annual Appeal, limited investment income from our Endowment, Memorials and fines and fees.

Opened in June 2016, our new expanded library offers an extensive collection of books, audiobooks, magazines, DVDs, CDs, and downloadable ebooks. We also offer free wifi, public computers, tutor rooms, and advanced technical capabilities such as 3D printing and Green Screen technology. As a community center, we host many Adult, Teen and Childrens' programs encompassing fitness, cultural, educational, & technical, as well as several book and special interest clubs. 3 meeting rooms are available for community use.
