Celebrate the magic of the season with an unforgettable afternoon of music, dance, winter garden tours, ornament-making and more!

Explore the beauty of winter interest throughout the gardens with exclusive off-season access before enjoying two sets of some of the most exciting performers in acoustic and traditional music: the dynamic Charm City Junction, beloved father-son duo Ken & Brad Kolodner, and legendary members of Helicon, including wooden-flute virtuoso Chris Norman and hammered-dulcimer master Ken Kolodner. 

Blending Celtic, Bluegrass, Old Time, and global folk influences, these artists create a sound that is both timeless and joyfully alive. Expect driving fiddle tunes, tight vocal harmonies, soaring flute and accordion lines, foot-tapping banjo grooves, and the shimmering resonance of hammered dulcimer—all delivered with warmth, nuance, and energy. This Solstice celebration also features captivating percussive dance performances featuring traditional steps that illuminate the rich cultural roots of the repertoire.

Garden Tours will begin at 1 PM. The Winter Solstice concert will run from 3:30 – 5:30 PM with one 15-minute intermission. This event will take place in a heated tent just outside the Copeland House, which will be open for the day. Seasonal drinks and snacks will be available for purchase throughout the event!
