FUNK 'N ROOTS

Garrett "Starchild Jr" Shider of Parliament Funkadelic will join the Fitzkee Brothers, Melody and Vaylor for an unforgettable show, one night only at The Listening Booth in Lewes, Delaware on March 1, 2026

This unique collaboration features Melody Trucks (daughter of Allman Brothers Band legendary drummer Butch Trucks) with her band, alongside Starchild Jr. (son of Starchild/Diaperman of Parliament-Funkadelic and current guitarist/vocalist in P-Funk) & rec elected added special guest Melody’s brother Vaylor Trucks also on guitar!!

Together, they pay homage to the powerful legacies left by their fathers while ensuring the music continues to live on. The show will include a mix of original material and classic Allman Brothers Band and P-Funk songs—many taught to them directly by the legends themselves.

They’ll also be passing these musical traditions on to the next generation of players, including The Fitzkee Brothers. Hear firsthand stories about growing up around both iconic bands from Melody, Vaylor, & Garrett, and learn from the Fitzkee Brothers how the next generation is honoring these lessons, enjoy a truly phenomenal evening of music.
