The Stories That Connect Us

Join acclaimed National Geographic photographer, writer, and filmmaker Ami Vitale for an unforgettable exploration of our profound connections to the natural world. Through powerful stories and breathtaking imagery, Ami reveals how protecting nature is inseparable from protecting ourselves. In this talk, Ami will share the stories behind her images, the lessons she’s learned from the wild, and how each of us can be a force for hope and change in a rapidly shifting world.

Having traveled to more than 100 countries, covering everything from conflict zones to the frontlines of wildlife conservation, Ami immerses herself fully in every story she tells. From donning a panda suit to documenting the race to save the northern white rhinos from extinction, her work illuminates both the fragility and resilience of life on Earth. As the founder of Vital Impacts, a nonprofit using art to inspire action, Ami has helped raise over $5 million for conservation efforts worldwide and empowered the next generation of environmental storytellers through grants, mentoring, and youth programs.
