Please Touch!
How often have you walked into a museum and wanted to jump right into a painting to lay on a beautiful landscape or touch the soft folds of beautifully painted silks? Join us on March 21st from 10 am-3 pm and do just that! From a red kerchief seen in “The Last Moments of John Brown” by Thomas Hovenden to the blue silk dress work of Anna Dorthea Finney and a simple copper pot in the chaos of “A Kitchen” by Hendrick Sorgh. With over a dozen paintings to interact with and covering several artistic periods, there will be something for everyone to touch! This program is free and will be occurring throughout the day.
Presented by First State Heritage Park.
