Explore the freedom and structure of mandala drawing. Students will create a foundational geometric grid and learn to use geometric patterns in repetition to create a finished piece (or 2 or 3) with paper and markers. You will be encouraged to take a meditative approach to the process, allowing accidents to morph into new creations and letting go of pre-conceived ideas of the outcome. No drawing experience necessary! With instructor Leslie Barbaro. See list of supplies you must bring.
Age 16+. Younger kids welcome with parent. Parent is free unless they are also participating.
Supplies to bring:
Pencil
Eraser
Fine-liner pen/ marker / some popular brands are Staedtler, Stabilo, Sakura
Optional:
Watercolor paints and a medium or large sized brush
Compass
Small protractor
