Shared Table: Art, Food, and Equity

Join us for a powerful evening of dialogue and creativity as we explore food insecurity in our local community and beyond through the lens of art and literature. We’re honored to welcome Oscar de Paz, an artist whose deeply personal work draws on themes of poverty, discrimination, and community to stimulate reflection and meaningful conversation, and McKay Jenkins, Cornelius Tilghman Professor of English, Environmental Humanities, and Journalism at the University of Delaware, whose award-winning work examines food systems, social justice, and environmental issues.

Additional local artists will join the conversation, sharing their perspectives and creative approaches to addressing food equity. The program will conclude with a Q&A panel, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with the artists and author, ask questions, and explore actionable ways to address food insecurity in our community.
