Framing Watercolor without Glass
Framing Watercolor without Glass
Framing watercolor paintings without glass simplifies the framing process by eliminating unnecessary steps and costs. Students will prepare paper in advance for Plein Air painting or gallery exhibitions, so they can frame their work without glass, which removes the need for matting and backing paper, ultimately reducing the overall weight. This method is increasingly popular among artists as it minimizes glare and protects the artwork from moisture. Additionally, framing without glass allows viewers to appreciate the colors and details of the artwork more intimately, enhancing their overall experience.
