Linocut Printmaking
Learn this powerful, yet simple, printmaking medium. Suitable for all skill levels.
In this 3-hour linocut printing class, you will carve a design into a linoleum block and print it multiple times. You can carve a design you bring to the workshop or choose from simple designs we provide.
This is a basic linocut printmaking class that introduces students to the process of creating relief prints. Participants learn how to carve a design into a sheet of 4"x6" linoleum carving block, ink the carved block, and press the image onto paper. By the end of the class, students will have created and pulled their own edition of original prints.
All supplies are provided. You'll leave with your lino print block and several prints. You can make additional prints at home with your own supplies. Taught by Syd Schaeffer. Age 16+. Younger kids welcome with parent. Parent is free unless they are also participating.
