Cyanotype Prints
Learn the cyanotype process. Leave with two stunning prints—one botanical and one made with your own hand-cut stencil.
Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces cyan-blue monochromatic images by exposing UV-sensitive chemicals to sunlight. We will create two distinctly different art prints in this accessible, and eco-friendly workshop. Using provided papers, chemicals, and exposure units, you create one botanical print using a variety of pressed organic forms, and a second print using your hand-cut stencil or hand drawn transparency. Learn more about instructor Susan Benarcik on her website.
Age 16+. Younger kids welcome with parent. Parent is free unless they are also participating. All materials provided.
