An introduction to costume and set design for kids and teens! This sessions theme is Wicked!

For kids and students who are interested in fashion and costume design, set design, theatre, film and television. This two-day class will encourage you to bring your visions to life through collage, painting, drawing, sketching, or whatever makes your heart happy.

Learn the basics of production design. Sundays, April 26 and May 3. All materials provided. Instructor: Miranda Schad. Ages 10-18.

This sessions theme is: Wicked

Week 1: Costume Design

Redesign the costume of any character from Wicked, pulling inspiration from the book, musical, and movie. Create a mood/ inspiration board, drawing, or collage of your chosen characters new design. Learn the basics of color theory through the theatrical lens.

Week 2: Set Design

Create a mood/ inspiration board, drawing, or collage, based on one of the locations in Wicked. Learn some of the steps in designing a set like creating a background, making a floor plan, and picking a theme.
