Art Exhibit Anthomania Reimagined - Painterly Photography By Christina Peters
“Anthomania Reimagined” is a photographic series by Christina Peters that transforms floral still life into visual poetry. Drawing inspiration from Dutch painting, Christina sources flowers from U.S. farms and nurtures each bloom to peak in unison. Her compositions are carefully crafted in-studio using antique props, traditional composition, and artificial lighting. All work is created in-camera, and photoshop is used only to remove dust, imperfections, and prepare for print.
This series invites viewers to pause and reflect. Christina hopes her images spark joy, calm, and a sense of connection. Anthomania Reimagined reflects her ongoing exploration of floral portraiture, memory, the emotional power of beauty, and the symbolism of fleeting natural moments.
Opening night for this exhibition coincides with Art Loop Wilmington, Friday May 1st
This exhibition is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on DelawareScene.com.
