Artist Reception for Anthomania Reimagined Exhibition
“Anthomania Reimagined” is a photographic series by Christina Peters that transforms floral still life into visual poetry. Drawing inspiration from Dutch painting, Christina sources flowers from U.S. farms and nurtures each bloom to peak in unison. Her compositions are carefully crafted in-studio using antique props, traditional composition, and artificial lighting. All work is created in-camera, and photoshop is used only to remove dust, imperfections, and prepare for print.
This series invites viewers to pause and reflect. Christina hopes her images spark joy, calm, and a sense of connection. Anthomania Reimagined reflects her ongoing exploration of floral portraiture, memory, the emotional power of beauty, and the symbolism of fleeting natural moments.
This Artist Reception coincides with the Art Loop Wilmington 1st Fridays event.
The Wilmington Art Loop is a vibrant arts and culture mainstay. Since its inception in 1988, the Art Loop has been essential to downtown expansion and Wilmington’s creative community. During the first Friday of each month, the free, self-guided public event brings together art lovers and the community to the ever-evolving downtown and greater Wilmington areas. Art galleries, studios, museums and alternative art spaces offer an opportunity to meet featured artists while enjoying refreshments and periodic entertainment. Beer, wine, and canned cocktails for sale and light charcuterie available.
This opening reception is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on DelawareScene.com.
Presented by Delaware Center for Horticulture.
