Hemming, Repair and Alterations Workshop
This workshop is ideal for beginners, as well as those who already have basic sewing machine skills, or have taken the Machine Basics Workshop. The first 30 min will include a quick review of sewing machine fundamentals, including threading, winding a bobbin, straight stitch, and zigzag, Students will learn essential techniques for hand and machine hemming, clothing alterations, and basic repairs.
Each student should bring one item that needs an update including any trims, buttons or notions they may need, and coordinating thread. You are welcome to bring a working sewing machine or borrow one of ours.
