Creative Journeys: Connecting Past and Future

"Creative Journeys: Connecting Past and Future" presents a photographic retrospective and recent lino block and gel prints by Lee Hoover. The opening is 1-3 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at Arden Craft Shop Museum’s Afternoon with the Artist, 1807 Millers Road, Wilmington, DE 19810. The artist’s talk begins at 1:30 p.m.  



Afternoon with the Artist is a lively salon highlighting artists within the Ardens. Admission is free and all are welcome. The event is wheelchair accessible from the Cherry Lane entrance. 



“Creative Journeys” includes the new photograph “White Squirrel Snow,” the lino block prints “Scottish Dancing” and “Start Where You Are,” and the gel print “Peace Walk.” Also included will be audience favorites from the archives, such as the photos “Downrigging” and “Danza,” the multimedia image “Sussex Quorum” and, from the recent Trees of Arden photograph series, “Small Kingdoms Breathing Around Me” and “The Egg.” Works are available for sale at the event. 



"Creative Journeys” continues Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons through May 17. The hours are 7:30-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 6; 1-3 p.m. Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10; 7:30-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 13; and 1-3 p.m. Sunday, May 17.

Parking is available at the museum and on nearby side streets. Please follow all road sign directions and do not block traffic or driveways. There is additional parking a few blocks southwest at Arden’s Gild Hall, 2126 The Highway, Wilmington, DE 19810, and a few blocks southeast at The Candlelight Theatre, 2208 Millers Road, Wilmington, DE 19810.
