Delaware Premiere: Between The Lines
Between the Lines is a musical adaptation of the young adult novel by Jodi Picoult and Samantha van Leer that follows Delilah, an unhappy, socially alienated teenager struggling with her parents' divorce and the pressures of a new high school. Seeking escape, she finds solace in a fairy tale book titled Between the Lines, where she becomes captivated by its protagonist, Prince Oliver. As the boundaries between reality and fiction blur, Delilah discovers that Oliver is aware of his existence within the book and is equally desperate to escape his repetitive, scripted life. Through their magical connection, the two fall in love while exploring themes of self-discovery and the power of forging one’s own path, ultimately learning that while they cannot change their respective worlds, they possess the agency to write their own stories and navigate the challenges of reality.
