Sketching with Gouache - 2 days
Explore the fun and forgiving medium of gouache (opaque watercolor) as a versatile sketching medium.
In this two-day workshop, we’ll work from photographs and use gouache to make sketches in a way that allows for painting light colors over dark as well as dark over light. Gouache is an opaque medium that can be used with many of the advantages of oil or acrylic, but requires only water for thinning and cleanup, and can always be rewet on your palette or brushes. Gouache dries quickly, making it a good choice for sketchbooks. Learn more about instructor Charley Parker on his website. May 16 and 17. Ages 16+
