DCA Presents: American Voices
Join Delaware Choral Arts in Wilmington DE on April 26, 2026 for American Voices: Songs of Freedom and Democracy. DCA celebrates our nation’s 250th anniversary with musical selections drawn from the across the American experience. The great American poets Walt Whitman and Langston Hughes’ voices weave through Kyle Pederson’s suite “A Vision Unfolding” as reminders of our aspirational selves. David Chase and grammy-nominated Judith Clurman’s “Washington Women” is a compelling collection of songs whose texts spring from the words sixteen incredible women in our history- First Ladies, Senators, Representatives, Supreme Court Justices, Secretaries of State and Vice President. Other selections include Kevin Memly’s setting of the great American folk song “Shenandoah” and Mark Miller’s anthem “Roll Down Justice.”
