Toward the Beloved Community: A Celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Presented during Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, Toward the Beloved Community honors Dr. King’s life and legacy while confronting the unfinished work of his dream. Through music and reflection, the program explores his vision of a society rooted in justice, reconciliation, dignity, and, most importantly, love. Dr. King was radical not simply because he challenged injustice, but because he sought transformation at its deepest roots, in our institutions, our relationships, and our understanding of one another. This concert invites us to move beyond remembering the Beloved Community as an inspiring ideal and toward embracing our responsibility to build it together.
