What happens when a chance encounter turns into a lifelong tradition?
In 1951, George and Doris meet at a charming California inn. Both are married to other people, but an unexpected spark leads to an unusual arrangement: they’ll return to the same inn, on the same weekend, every year.
And so begins a remarkable relationship that unfolds over 25 years of laughter, romance, secrets, and surprises!
As the world changes around them, so do George and Doris. From the innocence of the 1950s to the cultural revolutions of the 1960s and beyond, their annual weekends become a window into changing times, changing dreams, and the unpredictable twists of life.
