Opening Reception: Friday, April 9, 2027 (5pm-7pm)

The resilience of the Delaware Bay area may lie in its adaptiveness. As water and land warm, plant life and structure respond. The recent work included here uses found materials that I transform into imaginary flowers or built forms. These imagined flowers, for example, use new combinations of strategies for protection; and the jetty is constructed using the strategies of barnacles and other shallow sea forms. These pieces are part of a series of similar ambiguous and imaginary forms that are photographed and then partially altered digitally. As photographic combinations they comment on the transformations we see around us in the natural world and the senses of imminence, precarity, and resilience that rapid change is inspiring.
