Sherry Gage Chappelle
Sherry Gage Chappelle began writing poetry more than a decade ago, after a long career in education. Her poems have appeared in numerous anthologies and journals, online and print. Salmagundi, her chapbook, won the 2011 Dogfish Head Poetry Prize and her work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. She loves the interplay of sound and sense and the infinite challenge of crafting poems. The Coastal Writers of the Rehoboth Art League have been her family of writers and mentors. She is the longtime facilitator of the Browseabout Book Club. When not writing or reading, she sings in the soprano section of the Southern Delaware Chorale and the a cappella group Mixed Blessings. She lives in Rehoboth Beach with her husband, Bruce.
