Stained Glass: Snowflake Ornament
Saturday, December 5, 2026 · 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM Open to ages 15 to 110 Bring your glass cutting and soldering skills to a project built around precision. In one day, you'll construct a stained glass snowflake ornament with radial symmetry, working through the small-piece techniques that separate a crisp snowflake from a lumpy one. You'll cut and grind narrow points, foil pieces too small to grip comfortably, and solder joints where six arms meet without flooding the seams. We'll cover tinning for a clean finish, patina options, and how to set a hanging loop that balances the ornament so it hangs straight. Choose from clear textures, iridescents, and blues. Prerequisite: prior stained glass experience required. You should be comfortable with the copper foil method and confident with a grinder. All materials and patterns provided. Leave with a finished ornament ready to hang.
