Teen Pottery - Session 2

• Monday, October 26 through Monday, November 23
• Center for the Creative Arts, Yorklyn, DE

Learn the basics of "throwing" on the pottery wheel in a fun and supportive environment geared toward teens! Students will learn how to create bowls, cups, and mugs for functional use. Instructors will provide step by step guidance through spoken lessons as well as demonstrations. All materials are provided. (Total: 5 classes, 7.5 hours)

IMPORTANT NOTES:

- Accessing the pottery studio requires use of stairs.

- Students will be working on an electric pottery wheel with assistance and guidance from the teaching artist.

- An email regarding Pottery Studio expectations and guidelines will be sent out the week before class begins.

- This class is NOT a direct continuation of "Teen Pottery: Session 1" so it can be taken independently. Different projects and subjects will be explored during this class.

-Students will be provided with clay and tools for class use.

-Advanced students looking to make larger vessels or more pieces can select to purchase additional bags clay at the front office.
