Encore Creativity of Wilmington, DE
Encore Creativity is the nation's largest organization for singers over the age of 55. Over 2000 people participate in Encore chapters, including 65 in Wilmington and 75 in Lewes. Previous experience is not necessary. Encore teaches music and singing through online webinars and weekly practices that produce two concerts a year. A large part of the Encore experience is socialization, working together with people of diverse backgrounds to create music and put on a performance. We actively seek diversity in our membership. Our programs include about a dozen pieces of choral, popular and spiritual music. Our director, David Simmons, is also the music director at Trinity Church and at CoroAllegro in Wilmington.
